Xi Epsilon Chapter Installed at Florida Memorial University

The Xi Epsilon chapter (#341) of Kappa Kappa Psi at Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens, Florida was installed April 13, 2023 with National Vice President for Membership & Expansion Bang Co and Southeast District Governor Arupa Gopal-Campbell serving as the installing officers. Ritual materials were provided by the Kappa Tau Chapter at the University of South Florida.

Xi Delta Chapter installed at Stony Brook University

Hello and happy Monday, Brothers –

On behalf of the National Council, I am proud to announce the successful chartering and installation of the Xi Delta chapter at Stony Brook University! The process started earlier this semester with a petitioning group of nineteen band members, which was led by Marco Melendez and their Director of Bands, Dr. Justin Stolarik. The initiation and installation ceremonies took place at their institution on Sunday, December 4th, 2022.

This process would not have been possible without the help of our dedicated Advising Team, which was led by NED Governor, Rassii Elliott. The Advising Team consisted of several NED alumni members, who are listed below. Thank you to these Brothers for their guidance and leadership in this process. We are deeply grateful for their service and support.

Kappa Pi Chapter Re-Installed at Claflin University

The Kappa Pi chapter (#256) of Kappa Kappa Psi at Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina was re-installed April 28, 2024, 2013 with National Vice President for Membership & Expansion Dr. Nic Rorrer serving as the installing officer. Ritual materials were provided by the Zeta Chi Chapter at the University of South Carolina. The Advising Team consisted of Evan Thompson from the Zeta Chi chapter; Dr. Donald Lee Jr. from the Zeta Eta chapter; and Brittany Woodruff from the Pi chapter.

Eta Iota Chapter Re-Installed at Bethune-Cookman University

The Eta Iota chapter (#177) of Kappa Kappa Psi at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida was re-installed April 21, 2024, 2013 with National President Bang Co serving as the installing officer. Ritual materials were provided by the Delta Iota chapter at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and the Mu Beta chapter at Florida Atlantic University . The Advising Team consisted of Anthony ‘Tony’ Shelton from the Nu Kappa chapter; Hayden Elias-Rodriguez from the Gamma Nu chapter; Jessica Needham from the Eta Sigma chapter; Danielle Wade from the Mu Beta chapter; and Benjamin Williams from the Delta Iota chapter.

The Xi Eta chapter (#343) of Kappa Kappa Psi at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennesee was installed April 27, 2024, 2013 with National Vice President for Membership & Expansion Dr. Nic Rorrer serving as the installing officer. Ritual materials were provided by the Lambda Rho chapter at Tennessee Technological University and the Eta Sigma chapter at the University of Central Florida. The Advising Team consisted of Hunter Moreland from the Kappa Mu chapter; Jahkeem Grant from the Iota Xi chapter; Miaka Kemp from the Kappa Mu chapter; and Megan Lefever from the Lambda Delta chapter.

Theta Psi Chapter Re-Installed at Virginia Union University

The Theta Psi chapter (#215) of Kappa Kappa Psi at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia was re-installed April 21, 2024 with National Vice President for Professional Relations Dr. William Lake serving as the installing officer. Ritual materials were provided by the Kappa Psi chapter at Virginia Commonwealth University, the Zeta Psi chapter at Virginia State University, and the Eta Omega chapter at Howard University. The Advising Team consisted of Michael Bradford-Calhoun from the Iota Zeta chapter; Ed Savoy from the Eta Alpha chapter; Ema Ashley from the Eta Sigma chapter; Dr. William Lake from the Gamma Xi chapter; and Franklin Nesmith from the Eta Omega chapter.

Iota Theta Chapter re-installed at Morehouse College

On behalf of the National Council, I am proud to announce the successful re-chartering of the Iota Theta chapter at Morehouse College! The process started in early September of this semester with a petitioning group of 19 band members for Morehouse and was led by Phillip Redden with the support of their Director of Bands, Dr. Chad Hughes. I had the honor of serving as the Installing Officer for their installation, which took place on Morehouse’s campus on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023. 

This process would not have been possible without the help of our dedicated Advising Team, which was led by SED Governor, J.P. Davis. The Advising Team also consisted of several Brothers, who are listed below. Thank you to these Brothers for their guidance and leadership in this process. We are deeply grateful for their service and support.

Morehouse College Advising Team

Xi Gamma chapter installed at Cleveland State University

On behalf of the National Council, I am proud to announce the successful chartering and installation of the Xi Gamma chapter at Cleveland State University on Sunday, January 30th! The process started at the beginning of last semester with a petitioning group of twenty-three band members, led by Maddie Baldwin and with the support of their Director of Bands, Dr. Birch Browning.

This process would not have been possible without the help of our amazing Advising Team. This group was led by NCD Governors, Marc Reanud and Michelle Banis and consisted of three additional advisors. Thank you to these Brothers for their guidance and leadership in this process. We are deeply grateful for their service and support.

Lambda Omicron re-installed at Valdosta State University

The National Council is proud to announce the successful re-chartering and installation of the Lambda Omicron chapter at Valdosta State University! The process started at the beginning of this semester with a petitioning group of eleven band members, led by Daniel Slone and with the support of their Director of Bands, Dr. Benjamin Harper. The event took place on Sunday, December 12th in Valdosta, GA, and was the first in-person chapter installation that we have had in quite some time.

This process would not have been possible without the help of our amazing Advising Team. This group was led by Past National President, Evan Thompson and consisted of five advisors. Thank you to these Brothers for their guidance and leadership in this process. We are deeply grateful for their service and support.
